Week 5

Tuesday I did a lot of packaging and mailing. I sent Barbie's to radio stations (For a new Barbie DVD movie promotion), postaged a stack of letters and screening passes, and packaged Bounty Hunter promotional items for Skky Bar. The items were for an after-screening party the following Wednesday.

I also did research on Langston University and other Oklahoma City area colleges to start planning Death at a Funeral promotions at.

I continued my research for Death at a Funeral promotions Thursday. I outlined a plan for the film's promotional events and began contacting people, venues and media about the plans.

I also sat in on my first official conference call for Death at a Funeral! Moroch agencies from all over the country were on the same call. They mostly just talked about the basics about what they wanted to do and the publics they wanted to reach. One thing they said that I hadn't thought of was targeting March Madness events.

Friday I went to the restaurant Tea Cafe in Norman instead of Moroch. I had planned a promotion day for The Bounty Hunter there. I got there early to put up posters, put together the prize packs and decorate and set up the Enter to Win box. I spent most of the day there, making sure things ran smoothly and taking pictures for the studio report.

Saturday my boyfriend and I donned Bounty Hunter t-shirts and handcuffs (and green) and went to the St. Patrick's Day parade in Oklahoma City. We each had about 300 mini posters to hand out to the parade crowd. We had fun, and it was surprising to see how excited people got about them! We came back with only about 40 each, so we handed out a lot. I took pictures at the parade for the film studio report as well, which turned out to be harder than expected while being handcuffed and holding posters!
